Geloiocracy - Rule By The Ridiculous
The neologism was coined by Paul Krugman in a pair of posts on his blog (H/T Bryan for the link). Indeed. If there's anyone more worthy of ridicule than the banksters and fraudsters of Wall Street, I don't know of them. Read Krugman for details.
Musgrave - welcome! Now that's funny... when I first saw the word, that's how my mind transformed it, before I stopped and looked more closely. If Ireland is an example, Gaeliocracy is compatible with austerity, and neither is compatible with recovery!
Aside to Musgrave: I notice on one of your sites that you follow Stefan Karlsson. I follow Stefan Karlsson, too, but the Stefan Karlsson I follow is a different fellow, a truly excellent jazz musician. Maybe the name is the "John Smith" of Sweden.
