It's Stella's Birthday...
... and she's somehow arranged to take a week off work. I have a feeling I won't be blogging a lot for the next couple of days.

ReplyDeleteThanks, ellroon and karmanot, for your kind birthday wishes! Apart from a bit of medical adversity, we celebrated in style. with dinner at Stella's favorite Chinese restaurant (sorry, ellroon; she's not willing to give it up) and a Sara Lee strawberry cheesecake for a birthday cake (you know my old rhyme: "I say unto you verily: / Nobody don't like Sara Lee!") I gave Stella a novel by Kathy Reichs and a nostalgia CD of Judy Collins, but the very best presents she received were about a dozen extended phone calls from her brothers and an assortment of friends both local and far away.
