U. Maryland Study: Americans Prefer Liberal Policies

I don't expect this result to mean a damned thing to hardcore Republans or former Blue Dog Democrats, but there it is: according to a study done at University of Maryland, in areas as diverse as defense, energy, pollution, jobs, higher education, science research, humanitarian foreign aid, and... incredibly... taxes, Americans take positions that are, by any reasonable measure, liberal positions. Take a look: those of us who may have felt politically lonely for a couple dozen years are, after all, not alone.

Now if someone can just build a (metaphorical) fire under Obama...
