Senator-Elect Elizabeth Warren |
Warren, surely Wall Street's worst nightmare, is one of the most knowledgeable people in Washington about banking and finance, bar none, and is on our side, and to all appearances, not for sale.
If she is indeed seated on that committee, you'd better lay in extra popcorn; there will be plenty of action to watch!
My husband and I have had a bet going. Usual cynic me thinks she gets the banking committee gig. Customary optimist husband thinks she won't. Talk about role reversal :)
ReplyDeleteMad - :-)
DeleteI'm pretty sure the committee appointment is a reality; I got an email from the DKos list about it last night. I haven't seen anything to the contrary, though I'm sure Wall Street is doing everything it can...
In my crystal ball I see Warren as a VP pick in the next cycle. She's following in Hilary's strategic acumen.
ReplyDeleteOr, karmanot, she could follow Ted Kennedy's path (the good part of it) and serve as Senator-for-life in a very blue state. VP is a position requiring mostly excellent political skills and experience; Warren still must acquire those.
