Flu? cold? hangover? food poisoning? reading a new vegan cookbook 'til 3:00 AM? Whatever this is, it's got me a bit (blue-)green around the gills this morning. Sorry about the scarcity of posts! I'll be back as soon as I'm able.
UPDATE Thursday morning 9/3: Last night, kitty Esther piled on top of me for several hours with her patented healing embrace, not to mention her considerable bulk; the result is that I'm feeling somewhat better today, albeit still exhausted. I may be ready to face politics tonight, or tomorrow at the latest.

ReplyDelete(Rats. Signed in with the wrong email.) I've read that cats will sit with someone who is ill so Esther is using her magical kitty healing powers. Feel better, take a break. I'll tell you the news: Trump did this, Obama in Alaska, Trump, Omg Kardashians, Wtf Iraq, Trump Trump....
ReplyDeleteellroon, Kim Davis is, or is to be, jailed for contempt of court; that's enough news to make me feel better. I'm about to write a very short post on reaction to that ruling...
DeleteOh, and ellroon... I've always been much more interested in the Cardassians than the Kardashians...
DeleteThe last time a cat went to sleep on my chest I woke up in the mourning(sic) with the blistery red pattern of rash and blisters in the form of the shadow of a sleeping cat. Yep, I'm highly allergic to poison oak; cats are not. I'm certainly glad that Bast was more helpful to thee than to me.
ReplyDeleteShirt, that really is too bad. The only problem I have with Esther on my chest is that she likes to face toward my nether parts and stick her tail straight up into my face. The gesture is well-intended, I know, but I'd rather not sniff her butt while she lies there... :-)

ReplyDeleteThinking of you, be well, sending vibs! (and correcting typos)
DeleteThanks, Michael. I am definitely feeling better, though Stella led me a merry chase through many of our usual shopping haunts today, fed me a ton of pizza at Star, took me to Trader Joe's for the periodic wine run and... eventually settled in front of the TV (sigh!), exhausted but suffering only from "consumption." The day could have been worse! :-)
