Goodhair Will Not Seek Re-Election

So he announced:
Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) announced Monday that he would not seek an unprecedented fourth full gubernatorial term. He previously served as George W. Bush's lieutenant governor for the state, taking over the governor's mansion in 2000, when Bush resigned to become president. He has since been elected for the state's top post three times.

But Perry, who made an unsuccessful bid for the Republican presidential nomination in 2012, left the door open Monday for a 2016 presidential run, saying that he would spend the remainder of his term leading "this great state" and praying and reflecting to "determine my own future path."

"I will arrive at that decision appropriately," he said.
Right. Translation: tha muthahfuckah is goin' ta run fer preznit.

  1. You have to admit that he provided a lot of entertainment in his last run, and not having to deal with destroying Texas while running should make his next attempt even more so.

    1. Bryan, Ricky's entertainment value is counterbalanced by the fact that the equally entertaining George W. Bush actually ended up becoming president. Perry as president is a painful thing to ponder.

    2. Bryan, it seems Google is sending me notices for Google comments that are subsequently dumped in the spam bucket, and it's now up to me to look in the bucket. There is no mark on the spam bucket to indicate that it has comments in it. Google must be saving money on programmers lately.

    3. I was reluctant to say anything about the problem, because it showed my comment after I published it, but then it disappeared when I came back later.

I have to assume that Google doesn't like me, and there's nothing I can do about it - c'est la vie.

It's probably the fact that I keep clearing out cookies that annoys them.

  3. I can't imagine anyone will be surprised at Ricky running for president. He does have the best hair and that seems to mean a lot . . .
