One Down... UPDATED

... 18 more to go. Remember that recall petition Wisconsin Democrats filed against State Sen. Dan Kapanke (R) and 18 other Republan state senators? Democrats have announced they have more than 100 percent of the signatures required to recall him. Signatures have to be certified by "local officials." If Democrats manage to recall as many as 3 Republan state senators and elect Democrats in their place, they will have a majority in the state senate. This may have been the easiest; Kapanke's district typically leans Democratic.

I anticipate some sort of skulduggery by the certifying officials; how about you?

(FTR: this is NOT an April Fool's joke. There are some things I do not joke about.)

UPDATE: Wisconsin Dems say they expect at least six of eight recalls to succeed, sending them to a special election set by a Government Accountability Board.
